What is NDIS?

The NDIS is an Australian initiative designed to fund essential services and equipment for individuals living with a permanent disability. By focusing on your unique needs, it empowers you to lead an independent life while strengthening your connection to the community. Navigating the entry criteria is the key to unlocking dedicated resources tailored to your specific journey and long-term aspirations.

Check if you are eligible for this program.

To be eligible for the NDIS, a person must meet all of the following requirements:

• Be under 65 years of age at the time of application

• Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa

• Have a permanent and significant disability that impacts their ability to complete everyday activities

• Require support from another person, assistive technology, or specialised equipment due to their disability

Age Requirement

Applicants must be under the age of 65 when applying for the NDIS.

Individuals who are already receiving NDIS support before turning 65 may choose to continue with the NDIS or transition to aged care services, depending on their preferences and needs.
